Men’s Soccer Volunteers with Arlington TOPSoccer
Arlington, Va. – Marymount University’s men’s soccer team took time away from the pitch to volunteer with Arlington TOPSoccer on Saturday. TOPSoccer is a community-based soccer training and team placement program that brings the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, ages 4-19, who has a mental or physical disability. TOPSoccer was started in Arlington in 2002.
“Our guys had a great time helping out with Arlington TOPSoccer over the weekend,” Marymount head coach Keith Moser said. “It was an eye-opening experience for a lot of us and we look forward to continuing our partnership with them in the fall.”
The Saints partnered one-on-one with the area youths to help teach fundamentals and basic skills throughout the afternoon. Following the tutorials, Marymount’s student-athletes helped run a scrimmage with the players and delivered shirts and bags to the TOPSoccer members.
