Arlington, Va. – Marymount University’s men’s swimming team dropped a pair of non-conference decisions in a double-dual meet on Saturday afternoon. The Saints fell to former Capital Athletic Conference rival Catholic 186-58 and lost to Washington & Lee 155-62.
Tom Baroz posted the Saints’ top individual finish, placing second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 58.13. Joseph Gardner finished third in the 200 breaststroke at 2:24.50.
Gardner also placed second in the 200 freestyle relay, teaming with Matt Ward, Ryan Kilmon and Greg Shumaker for a time of 1:35.26.
Marymount returns to the lanes on Saturday, February 4, as it hosts CAC foe Frostburg State in the final meet before the 2012 CAC Championships.
