Wyoming, Del. – Marymount University senior golfer Peter Johns capped off his standout career by winning the 2013 Capital Athletic Conference Individual Championship on Sunday afternoon. As a team, the Saints shot a two round score of 642 for a third place finish.
Johns carded back-to-back rounds of 74 to win the event by two strokes. He earned First Team All-CAC honors as well after garnering second team accolades in each of his first three seasons with the Blue and White. Johns is the first Marymount player to win top medalist honors at the CAC Championships.
Sophomore Brad Johnson was also named Second Team All-CAC after shooting a 78 and a 76 for a total of 154. He placed sixth overall.
Mark Curtis shot rounds of 81 and 86 for a 167 to finish 12th while Isaac Reed was right behind him after carding an 89 and 84 for a 173. Jason Krystofik rounded out Marymount’s participation with scores of 90 and 92 to finish 14th.
York (Pa.) won the CAC Championship with a two round score of 613 followed by Wesley with a team score of 636. Marymount posted scores of 322 and 320 to come in third at 642.
