Wyoming, Del. – Marymount University’s men’s golf team finished the first round of the Capital Athletic Conference Championships in fourth place with a team score of 324. The Saints are 22 strokes off the lead but just four off of third place.
Freshman Mark Curtis leads the Saints with an opening round 79 to sit tied for sixth place. Two-time second team All-CAC performer Peter Johns and freshman Isaac Reed both carded a first round 81 and are each tied for 13th. Brad Johnson shot an 83 and is tied for 17th place while Nick Ryerson shot an 86 to tie for 22nd.
Host Wesley is currently in the lead with a first round 302 followed by Stevenson (313) and York (Pa.) (320). With Marymount in fourth, Hood brings up the rear of the standings with a 351.
Marymount looks to make up ground on Saturday as it closes out the tournament.
