York, Pa. – Marymount University junior Anna Macedonia was named the Capital Athletic Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. The weekly honor is the second of the 2010-11 season for the Annandale, Va., native.
Macedonia set a pair of program records in the 100 backstroke (58.23) and the 200 backstroke (2:07.52) at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational over the weekend. Both are also top times in the CAC and top-15 nationally in Division III. Her time in the 100 backstroke was an F&M meet record and she posted a CAC season-best 24.67 in the 50 freestyle.
Marymount returns to action after the New Year by hosting CAC foes Mary Washington and Salisbury January 15.
