Salisbury, Md. – Marymount University’s cross country teams competed at the Don Cathcart Invitational on Saturday, hosted by Capital Athletic Conference foe Salisbury. The Saints women’s squad placed 15th out of 16 teams while the men did not post a team score.
Megan McMinn continues to pace the women’s team, leading the Saints with a time of 26:22.00 in the 6K event to finish 83rd. Newcomer Jessica Butler was second, placing 112th with a time of 28:52.00.
Rounding out the Saints scoring, Summer Penrose placed 122nd at 30:17.00, Alondra Hall was 130th at 31:43.00 and Rachael Raske finished 138th with a time of 34:34.00.
On the men’s side, only four runners competed and did not place as a team. Individually, freshman Tam Nguyen led the Saints with a time of 29:48.00 in the 8K course to finish 115th. Fellow rookie Alexi McHugh posted a 32:02.00 to place 138th while Udit Bhatnagar was 141st at 32:18.00 and Kevin Farmer finished 144th with a time of 32:45.00.
Marymount returns to action in two weeks at the Shenandoah Invitational.
