Women’s Lacrosse Falls to #13 York

Arlington, Va. – Marymount University’s women’s lacrosse team fell 21-8 to visiting 13th-ranked York (Pa.) in Capital Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night. The Saints drop to 3-7 overall and 2-3 in league play.

Stephanie Flood led the Saints with three goals for a hat-trick. Megan McGuirk, Lindsay Bullock, Tancy Weatherford, Chelsea Ritter and Catherine Powell each scored for MU as well.

Powell led the Saints with five draw controls while Maher collected a pair of ground balls. Jessica Kirshner caused a team-high two turnovers in the loss.

Meaghan Doak and Sarah Castle each paced the Spartans with four goals.

Marymount returns to action as it hosts CAC foe Frostburg State on Saturday at Long Bridge Park.
