Men’s Soccer Falls to Former CAC Rival

Arlington, Va. - Marymount University’s men’s soccer team fell to former Capital Athletic Conference rival Catholic 6-0 at Long Bridge Park on Wednesday night. The Saints drop to 2-4-2 overall on the season.

Jorge Alvarado recorded four shots for the Saints while Reid McKee added three and Max Banziger had two.

Mike Madigan collected three saves in goal for MU.

A back-and-forth first half turned in Catholic’s favor late courtesy of a three goal outburst over a 2:13 span. The Cardinals netted goals at the 40:57, 42:24 and 43:10 marks.

Catholic would add three more goals in the second half.

Marymount returns to action as it hosts CAC foe Mary Washington on Saturday, September 29 as part of the Saints 2012 Homecoming festivities.
