Women’s Volleyball Remains Unbeaten at Home
Arlington, Va. – Marymount University’s women’s volleyball team defeated Capital Athletic Conference newcomer Penn State Harrisburg 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-16) on Wednesday night. The Saints improve to 15-8 on the season, 2-0 in league play, and remain undefeated at home this year.
Morgan McAlpin and Erin Allison led the Saints with 12 kills each with McAlpin hitting at a sharp .435 clip. Johanna Hummel and Emileigh Rettig both added eight kills.
Zacharie Jackson paced the offense with 33 assists, playing primarily in a 6-2 offense in the opening set before taking the reigns the rest of the way.
Defensively, Courtney Phung collected nine digs while Allison and Cassidie Watson both added eight.
Marion Chlipala led the Lions (4-16, 0-3 CAC) with seven kills.
Marymount returns to action on Saturday as it travels to face Wesley in CAC play.
