Frederick, Md. – Marymount University’s cross country teams competed in their final meets before the Capital Athletic Conference Championships, racing at Hood for the second-straight week. The Saints men’s squad finished in fifth place while the women placed sixth.
On the men’s side, Tam Nguyen finished in 12th place with a time of 30:10.5 in the 8K course to lead the Saints. Mark Flores was 25th at 31:59.0 followed by Udit Bhatnagar in 28th with 32:51.1, Benard Korinko 30th at 32:58.5 and Kevin Farmer 32nd at 33:07.5. Alexi McHugh rounded out the MU participation, finishing 39th with a time of 33:39.7.
In the women’s draw Megan McMinn was the top finisher for the Saints for the fifth-straight time, placing 18th in the 6K event with a time on 28:32.0. Right behind McMinn, Jessica Butler was 31st at 31:39.8 and Summer Penrose was 32nd at 32:01.8. Rounding out the Saints, Alondra Hall was 39th at 33:36.9 and Rachael Raske finished 44th at 37:57.1.
Marymount returns to action next weekend at the CAC Championships hosted by York (Pa.).
