Men’s Soccer Downed by Kean

Sunday, September 15, 2013
Arlington, Va. – Marymount University’s men’s soccer team lost a hard-fought battle Sunday afternoon as Kean stymied the Saints 1-0. With the loss, the Blue and White fall to 2-5 on the year.

Both teams pressured early, recording multiple shots in a fairly even first half. It was not until the second period that Kean truly threatened the Saints, outshooting Marymount 17-2.

Onar Yousefi paced the Marymount offense, recording three shots during the contest.

Logan Cropper recorded five saves in his first loss of the season.

Sheldon Palmer tallied the game’s only goal, striking in the 54th minute to give Kean (6-2-0) the advantage.

Marymount returns to action on Wednesday as it travels to Leesburg, Va., to take on Patrick Henry. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
