York, Pa. – Marymount University women’s soccer junior forward Paige Pierson was named First Team All-Capital Athletic Conference, as announced by the league office on Friday. Pierson scored a team-high 17 goals to go with four assists for 38 points, second most in the CAC.
The 31st All-CAC performer in program history, Pierson is the first First Team honoree since Claire Gebauer earned the honor in 2004. She is the 13th First Team All-CAC selection for the Saints since the award’s inception in 1991.
Pierson, a Sterling, Va., product, played in all 16 games for MU, starting 14. She scored in all but four games on the year and notched two multi-goal games, both hat-tricks.
Tying a CAC single game record with four goals against Hood, Pierson also added three against Trinity (D.C.). She was named CAC Athlete of the Week once after notching game-winners against Wesley and Hood.
Marymount went 5-11 on the season, its best overall record since 2007.
