York, Pa. – Marymount University junior John Goulding was named the Capital Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. Goulding posted a pair of top-three performances on the week including winning the Gettysburg Invitational.
In Gettysburg, Goulding (Vienna, Va. / Heritage Academy) carded a program-record 69 to win the event by six strokes. As a team, the Saints shot a 310, the seventh best round in school history, to win the tournament.
Later in the week, Goulding added another feather in his cap with a third place finish at the Lebanon Valley Invitational. Shooting a 73, he won a playoff hole to claim sole possession of third place in a three-way tie.
Marymount returns to action on October 8-10 at the Virginia State Intercollegiate Tournament in Wintergreen, Va.
