Anna Macedonia Places 27th in 100 Freestyle at NCAA Championships

Indianapolis, Ind. – Marymount University senior Anna Macedonia placed 27th overall in the 100 Freestyle at the NCAA Division III Women’s Swimming Championships on Saturday. She posted a time of 52.33 in the morning preliminary heat.

Macedonia closes out her career with another impressive showing at the NCAA Championships. She earned Honorable Mention All-America honors for the second-straight year in the 100 Backstroke and also placed 29th in the 50 Freestyle.

Macedonia earned Capital Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Year honors for the second-straight season in 2012. She earned seven different All-CAC accolades at the CAC Championships while setting one CAC record and three CAC Championship marks. Macedonia currently holds four individual records at Marymount and three top relay marks.
