In light of the affirmative action case (Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin) being argued before the Supreme Court, WUSA9 reporter Peggy Fox came to Marymount on October 10 to gauge views on campus. She spoke with several MU students, who all said that they value the diversity at Marymount and the enriched global perspective they gain as a result.
Dr. Chris Domes, vice president for Student Development and Enrollment Management, pointed out Marymount’s race-blind admission process, but added that the University reaches out to minority populations to ensure a diverse applicant pool.
