Reed Scott Named CAC Player of the Week
York, Pa. – Marymount University senior Reed Scott was named the Capital Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday. Scott led the Saints to a 1-1 split on the week in a pair of high-scoring outbursts.
Opening the week with a 102-89 victory over Lynchburg, Scott was one of four players to score in double-figures with 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting while adding eight rebounds. The Saints’ 100 point outburst is the second time they’ve achieved that feat this season and the 28th game in program history in which the Blue and White has eclipsed the century mark.
In a 92-83 setback to 23rd-ranked St. Mary’s (Md.), Scott led the Saints with a career-high 31 points. The senior forward went an impressive 10-for-12 from the floor, including 4-for-4 from three-point range, to go with another eight rebounds on the day.
