York, Pa. – Marymount University senior golfer Peter Johns was named the Capital Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. Johns has posted a 74.0 stroke average over two tournaments to begin the season.
In the season opener at the Messiah Falcon Classic, Johns tied for third overall with a two-over 74 as the Saints finished ninth overall.
He continued with a two-round score of 148 to tie for 17th overall at the Tom Kinder Memorial, including an impressive 71 in the opening round to tie for the second best round in program history. The Saints finished 17th overall in the event.
Marymount returns to action on Tuesday, October 2 at the Ursinus Invitational in Pottstown, Pa.
