Men’s Soccer Drops Overtime Heartbreaker
Dover, Del. – Marymount University’s men’s soccer team traveled to Wesley Friday night, dropping the Capital Athletic Conference tilt 3-2 in overtime. The Saints drop to 4-14 on the season and 0-7 in league action.
To open the scoring, Bryce Stouffer used an Onar Yousefi free kick to put the Saints on the board in the 27th minute.
Wesley tallied a pair before the opening frame concluded, taking a 2-1 lead into the second half.
The Wolverines would cling to their advantage until the 88th minute, when Yousefi netted the equalizer off a Max Banziger corner kick.
The CAC duel would end in the 93rd minute when Wesley’s Will Mileski tallied the game-winner. The goal was Mileski’s second on the day.
Yousefi paced the Saints with five shots in the match.
Goalkeeper Kurt Michaels collected two saves in the opening half. Logan Cropper would relieve Michaels in the closing frame, also collecting a save.
Marymount closes out the regular season Wednesday as it travels to CAC opponent Penn State Harrisburg. Kick-off is set for 5 p.m.
