Lebanon, Pa. – Coming off an impressive team victory last time out, Marymount University’s golf team put together another strong showing with a sixth place finish at the Lebanon Valley Invitational on Monday. The Saints shot a team score of 316 to finish 15 strokes off the lead.
Just days after posting the best round in program history, John Goulding added another impressive round to his résumé with a 73 to place third overall. Peter Johns also broke 80 with a round of 76 to finish tied for 11th.
Nick Ryerson shot an 81 to finish tied for 36th while Thomas Cave and Brad Johnson rounded out the MU scoring with matching 86s to tie for 57th.
Messiah won the event with a total score of 301, followed by Albright with a 303 and Alvernia at 310. Four strokes separated three Capital Athletic Conference schools with Stevenson shooting a 312 to finish fourth and York (Pa.) carding a 314 to place fifth ahead of the Saints.
Marymount returns to action on October 23 at the Immaculata Invitational.
