Men’s Soccer Tops Patrick Henry in Non-Conference Action
Purcellville, Va. – Marymount University’s men’s soccer team defeated Patrick Henry 8-1 in non-conference action on Wednesday night. The Saints improve to 3-5 overall on the season.
A fluke goal on an uneven surface from the host Sentinels proved to be the lone score in the opening frame before the Saints responded in the second with a barrage of goals.
Ahmed Elmanialawy logged his first career hat-trick in the win for the Blue and White. He hit home the game-winner in the second half and added a pair of late goals to complete the feat. Other Saints goal scorers included Bryce Stouffer, Jorge Alvarado, Onar Yousefi, Berhane Eticha and Max Banziger.
Alvarado also notched a pair of assists while Yousefi, Chris Lionette, Frank Cadle and Yanick Tomas each added helpers in the victory.
Marymount returns to action as it travels to face Gettysburg in its final tune up before Capital Athletic Conference action next weekend.
