Women’s Soccer Downed by St. Mary’s

Arlington, Va. – Marymount University’s women’s soccer team dropped a conference match to St. Mary’s (Md.) Saturday afternoon, falling 4-0 to the CAC opponent. The Saints drop to 5-8 overall and 2-4 in league play.

The Seahawks’ offense proved overwhelming, suffocating the Saints with a pair of goals in each half. Gillian Sawyer paced St. Mary’s with two goals on the day.

Goalkeeper April Westmark collected seven saves in the loss, falling to 4-4 on the season.

Marymount returns to action on Tuesday as it travels to Southern Virginia. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m.
