Women’s Soccer Earns First Victory of Season

Washington, D.C. – Marymount University’s women’s soccer team collected its first victory of the 2013 season with a 3-0 shutout at Trinity Washington on Monday afternoon. The Saints improve to 1-4 on the season.

Chloe McAullife, Danielle Canning and Shannon Bisselink each scored for the Saints with assists from Kirsten Campbell, Danielle Somadelis and Erin Harris.

In goal, April Westmark and Holly Wenger combined to shutout the Tigers between the pipes. The Saints defense did not allow a shot on goal the entire contest.

Marymount returns to action on Saturday as it hosts Hood in non-conference action at Long Bridge Park. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m. and fans can follow the action live by logging on to www.marymount.edu/athletics /wSoccer and selecting the “live stats” link.
