Men’s Soccer Falls to #17 Salisbury

Monday, October 17, 2011
Salisbury, Md. – Marymount University’s men’s soccer team dropped a rescheduled Capital Athletic Conference game 1-0 to 17th-ranked Salisbury on Monday afternoon.  The Saints drop to 3-8-3 overall and 1-3-2 in league play.

Losing by just one goal, the loss was the sixth this season by that margin.  The Saints have now lost back-to-back 1-0 games decided by a penalty kick.

Marymount attempted 10 shots in the game with seven of them coming on target.  Conversely, the Sea Gulls managed just two on goal, including the penalty kick in the 30th
minute.

Juan Aguilar hauled in the lone save for the Saints.

Marymount returns to action on Thursday as it hosts Southern Virginia in non-conference play.  Originally scheduled for a 7:30 kick-off, the game has now been moved up to begin at 4:30 p.m.
