Bridgewater, Va. – Marymount University’s golf team kicked off the 2011-12 season in 13th place to open the Tom Kinder Memorial Tournament, hosted by Bridgewater (Va.). The Saints shot an opening round 322 to finish 34 strokes above par in the 36 hole tournament.
Thomas Cave paced the Saints with an opening round 76 to tie for 24th place at four strokes over par. John Goulding was one stroke off, tying for 31st at 77.
Rounding out the scoring, Mark Anthony Curtis tied for 59th with a +12 84, Peter Johns was tied for 65th with an 85 and Nick Ryerson carded an 88 to tie for 71st.
Marymount returns to the course on Monday to close out the tournament.
