Wednesday, October 27, 2010
Fredericksburg, Va. – Marymount University’s men’s soccer team fell 1-0 to Mary Washington in Capital Athletic Conference action on Wednesday afternoon. The Saints close out the regular season and snap a three-game winning-streak with the loss.

Mary Washington (9-5-2, 4-3-1 CAC) jumped on the board with an early goal in the 10th minute before holding on the victory. T.L. Tutor scored the only goal of the game for UMW with an assist from Robby Davis.

The Saints (8-8-2, 2-4-2 CAC) outshot the Eagles 10-9 but couldn’t find the back of the net. Philippe Millogo and Kjell Crooke each tallied three shot apiece for Marymount.

In goal, William Brahmstedt collected three saves for MU while his counterpart Blake Weiss grabbed four in the shutout.

Marymount’s future is in the hands of a pair of rescheduled CAC contests on Thursday. The Saints are still in contention for one of the final two CAC Tournament spots depending on the outcomes of the Stevenson/Frostburg State and Wesley/St. Mary’s (Md.) games.
