Dr. Kelly Schrum will speak on "History Education in a Digital World" as part of the graduate program in Literature, Language, and the Humanities Colloquium Series.
She has worked extensively in the areas of 20th-century American history, digital humanities, and teacher training.
Dr. Schrum in the director of educational projects at the Center for History and New Media and serves on the faculty of George Mason University. She has authored several books, including
Some Wore Bobby Sox: The Emergence of Teenage Girls' Culture, 1920-1950. She is also the director of
Teachinghistory.org and other history education websites.
