Marymount University’s Human Resource Management Department welcomes Mr. Gus Siekierka, former Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of CSC. Mr. Siekierka retired from CSC in 2011 after 38 years of service. During his time as VP and Chief HR Officer, he was responsible for all human resources functions globally. Mr. Siekierka will discuss topics related to his personal career journey and share transformation stories from the evolution of HRM including: from “hire and fire” to a most strategic function reporting to the CEO; from compliance with civil rights laws and affirmative action programs to diversity as a business way of life; from indemnity plans to HMO’s and managed care; from defined benefit to defined contribution plans as the social contract between employer and employee has changed; and closely watched executive compensation plans in today’s oversight environment.
