LOCATION: Main Campus, Cafeteria
Ready to quit or thinking about quitting smoking? Looking for guidance, information, or reasons to help you kick the habit? Or do you just want to help yourself or a friend?
If so, stop by the Student Health Center’s table in the cafeteria today at lunchtime for assistance and give-aways. Marymount is participating in the Great American Smokeout as part of its plan to go tobacco-free in January.
Students, faculty and staff can also still join the “Kicking Butts” smoking cessation group which has two more upcoming meetings: November 20 and December 4. Led by Elaine McSorley-Gerard, R.N., B.A., N.P., it meets from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Student Health Center. The program not only provides reasons to quit but ways to make it happen.
The Student Health Center also offers individual counseling sessions upon request, as well as smoking cessation kits.
