International Symposium on Biomathematics and Ecology

Marymount University is proud to host the sixth International Symposium on Biomathematics and Ecology: Education and Research 2013. Dr. Elsa Schaefer, Marymount professor of mathematics, is co-organizer of this event. MU mathematics faculty and students are also actively participating.

Keynote Presentation:

Dr. Avner Friedman, Distinguished Professor of Mathematics and Physical Sciences at Ohio State University

Plenary Presentations:
Horizontal and Vertical Integration of Mathematics and Statistics across the Biology Curriculum
Dr. Jeremy M. Wojdak, Department of Biology, Radford University

Overview of Modeling Techniques for Wound Healing
Dr. Rebecca Segal, Department of Mathematics, Virginia Commonwealth University

On-site registration will take place on Friday, Oct. 11, from 6 to 9:30 p.m., in the Reinsch Library Auditorium, and continues Saturday, Oct. 12, from 7:30 to 8 a.m., in the same location.
