MGT 585 MBA Global Experience is a semester-long course taught at Marymount that includes a week-long international field experience in three Moroccan cities; Rabat, Casablanca and Marrakech. The course will combine lectures, case studies, and group work requiring research and application of theoretical knowledge to the practical challenges facing companies doing or considering business ventures in Morocco.  Students are expected to complete assigned readings and be prepared to participate actively in class and group discussions, leading to the creation of a peer learning community. The course requires eight in-class sessions as preparation for the international field experience, coordinated by the Center for Global Education.

Strategically located less than three hours from major European cities, Morocco is one of the most dynamic countries in the African continent. Morocco offers several advantages for international business and is becoming a popular destination for companies to start operations. Morocco has a well-educated and flexible workforce, business friendly laws and regulations, a stable political environment and infrastructure that support trade and the efficient movement of goods.
