Current Marymount Email Account Holder (@marymount.edu)

You should have been receiving system messages since January 2011 about the conversion to Google Apps, giving you the option to elect to convert on your own. Since you have not converted at this time, your account will be force-converted to an Alumni Email Account. You will not be able to access your account until the conversion takes place during the week of September 5.

Following the conversion, here is what will happen to your account:

1. Your email address will change following the conversion. The beginning of the address will remain the same, but the end of the address will change to @alumni.marymount.edu. For example, if your address before the conversion was abc12345@marymount.edu, your address after the conversion will be abc12345@alumni.marymount.edu.

2. You will no longer be able to receive emails to your old address. Please make changes to any accounts, colleagues, friends, family, etc. who contact you at that address to let them know you have a new address.

3. Any emails currently in your account will be moved over to the new address. Your folders and inbox will be moved to the new address.

Once the conversion takes place, please follow these steps to access your account the first time:

Step 1: Visit http://my.marymount.edu and click on "Forgot/Change Password". Please make sure your password is at least 8 characters. If the system tells you that your MU ID or SSN are not valid, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at 703-284-1541 for assistance.

Step 2: Visit http://mymumail.alumni.marymount.edu/ to log into your account. Please use your MU ID (ex. abc12345) as your username. This is the address you will use from now on to log into your account.
