If either of these career paths interests you, Marymount has an exciting program that can help you get a jump start: the DC Summer Institutes for High School Students. This summer, two institutes will be offered, in Criminal Justice and International Business.
These intensive two-week programs offer students the opportunity to gain a clearer understanding of their field of interest, earn three college credits, and have a thrilling academic experience in one of the world’s greatest cities!
Choose the International Business institute, and you could go on a field trip to the U.S. Capitol or the Canadian Embassy for a briefing on the North American Free Trade Agreement. Select the Criminal Justice institute, and you could meet with federal law-enforcement officials and visit the Drug Enforcement Administration Museum or the National Museum of Crime and Punishment.
At the end of the day, you and your new friends from high schools across the nation will enjoy a Major League Baseball game, a tour of the DC monuments by night, a movie, bowling, or other fun activities.
