Certificate and Nondegree Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements
Applicants to Marymount University’s certificate programs or those enrolling on a nondegree basis should have a minimum GPA of 2.0 from their most recent educational institution.

Some certificate programs have additional requirements:
 
  • Computer Science – Applicants must have earned a bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college or university and demonstrate knowledge of high school algebra and trigonometry.
  • Forensic Computing or Information Technology – Applicants must have earned a bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college or university and demonstrate knowledge of high school algebra.
 
Required Materials
You should submit the following for consideration by the Admissions Committee:
 
  • Completed certificate/nondegree studies application (download PDF)
  • Nonrefundable $40 application fee
  • Official high school or college transcripts with a minimum 2.0 GPA from the institution you attended most recently. 
*Please note: Nondegree students may not enroll in courses in the following programs: Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Interior Design, and Nursing.
