Marymount Internship and Studies Program
London, United Kingdom
London is a thriving multicultural city boasting cutting-edge music, art, and fashion. Marymount’s program in London, in partnership with the Foundation for International Education (FIE), gives you the opportunity to experience – firsthand – this complex, multicultural society through interdisciplinary coursework and tailored academic internships.
Spending time in London as a student is a truly unforgettable experience. The city’s modern cosmopolitan identity combines a fascinating past with a present that sees more than 7 million people living, studying, working, and playing in its different areas. The arts, theatre, nightlife, music, and literature all combine to make London an excellent learning experience.
FIE believes the environment outside of the classroom offers an invaluable learning resource. In addition to class-based lectures, seminars, and workshops, you will be guided on field trips that explore the practical dimensions of your courses.
MU’s London Program features an option that combines assigned, academic internships with coursework choices focusing on British culture, art, literature, history, minority communities, economy, design, and media. Field trips, guest lectures by London-based specialists, site visits, and other program activities are integrated into all courses. Previous co-curricular events and activities have included theatre visits, tours and lectures at the Globe Theatre, backstage tours of the National Theatre, guided visits to Inns of Court, and tours of Parliament.
