The National Science Foundation Summer Research Programs for Undergraduates lists opportunities in many mathematics and science disciplines. These programs pay for students to study instead of work in the summer, and students who have attended these have loved them!

The United States Intelligence Community site gives information about how to find work in the intelligence community. U.S. citizens are being actively recruited in several disciplines.

The Association of Women in Mathematics offers a list of summer programs for students – many of them are exclusively for women.

The Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics maintains a site with links about opportunities for Math majors.

The National Security Agency (NSA) lists summer opportunities there. You must be a U.S. citizen. Since a security clearance is required, applications are due at the end of October.

The Summer Program for Women in Mathematics at The George Washington University offers housing at GW and is for students between their junior and senior years. This program pays all housing and food plus a stipend of $1,500. Deadline to apply is March 1.

Careers & Graduate Study
Several Marymount alums work for Deloitte as actuarial consultants.

A Marymount alum manages a team that troubleshoots financial software for the government at CGI-AMS.

Another Marymount alum works at Mitre, an independent, nonprofit corporation engaged in scientific and technical activities for various government organizations.

Several Marymount alums are working as actuaries for the government’s Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.
