Testing is available for current Marymount students in the circumstances listed below. Students must make an appointment at least 24 hours in advance by calling the LRC at 703-284-1538. Walk-in testing is not available.
ADA Accommodations
Students with documented disabilities who require testing accommodations may arrange for testing in the LRC. A current copy of the Faculty Contact Sheet, which students can obtain from
the Office of Disability Support Services, must be on file in the LRC before any disability accommodations are provided. Students requiring access to a reader or a scribe should schedule exams as far in advance as possible.
Make-up Exams
Due to space restrictions, the LRC will no longer be able to offer make-up testing. Students requesting make-up exams must make arrangements with their professors or through their academic departments.
Validation Exams (Challenge Exams)
Validation exams, also known as challenge exams, allow Marymount students to "validate" prior learning for the following courses:
- BIO 161, Anatomy and Physiology I
- BIO 162, Anatomy and Physiology II
- BIO 260, Microbiology (includes Practical Exam)
Validation exams do not carry credit and may be taken only once. A Substitution of Course form must be signed by the School Dean or Associate Dean before an exam can be scheduled.
