The DISCOVER Center will fund 10-15 student research grants in summer 2012 for faculty mentors working with undergraduate students on a research project or creative endeavor. Faculty mentors receive a stipend. Students also receive a stipend, as well as room and board, so they can remain at the University through the summer. Proposals are jointly submitted by the student and faculty mentor.

The deadline for submission of proposals is March 23.

Faculty are encouraged to begin talking with prospective student researchers early in the spring semester so the student can begin preparing the proposal well in advance of the deadline.
