All graduating students and their guests are invited to all Recognition Day events. These events include the Baccalaureate Mass, the Awards Ceremony, and the President’s Reception.

Awards Ceremony

Line-up of graduates for the ceremony immediately follows the Baccalaureate Mass (between 6 and 6:15 p.m.), in the Lee Center.
The Awards Ceremony includes investiture of all graduates in the academic hood signifying the degree being awarded and presentation of student academic awards, the Bishop Ireton Award, the Senior Leadership Award, as well as the Robert A. Draghi Outstanding Faculty Award. Learn more about the criteria for these awards and get nomination forms.
Students receiving academic awards will be notified by letter prior to Commencement weekend. Graduates and faculty will process in academic regalia; students wear cap and gown and carry their hoods. No tickets are needed for this ceremony.

Graduates and their families are invited to this celebration with faculty, staff, and members of the Marymount University Alumni Association. All graduates who attend will receive a gift from the Alumni Association.
