Brenda Blanchard - Communications Coordinator
My name is Brenda Blanchard and I graduated from James Madison University with a degree in psychology in 2013. After graduation I went to work for the Commonwealth Attorney in Rockingham County and then went to work with inmates at a juvenile detention center. My interests lie heavily in the legal and criminal justice system, which is why I applied to and was accepted into Marymount's Forensic and Legal Psychology Master's program and hopefully their Clinical Mental Health Counseling program as well. I am currently the Communications Coordinator for the Graduate Student Ambassador Program and a Graduate Assistant for the Office of Planning and Institutional Effectiveness. I hope to eventually work for the government in or around Washington D.C. I am very excited to be at Marymount and hope to make lasting and fulfilling connections. Contact me via email

I graduated with a degree in Criminology and Psychology from Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, VA in 2016, but I am originally from Massachusetts. I chose to pursue my Master’s degree at Marymount University because I shared many of the values of the University, I enjoy the small class sizes, the professors are committed to their students and their programs, and it is excellently located. After graduation I hope to work for the government, with a long term goal of working in counterterrorism. I enjoy hiking, reading, baking, traveling and exploring! Contact me via email.
My name is Rebekah Gerwitz and I am originally from Westminster, MD, though I’ve traveled all over since then. I graduated this past spring from McDaniel College with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology. I am in the Forensic and Legal Psychology Master’s degree program here at Marymount because I am interested in establishing a career as a criminal profiler, though Marymount offers a range of opportunities to consider. MU’s location is very convenient to DC, which is where I hope to work within the government after graduation. I chose Marymount for its location, experienced faculty, and the availability of the FLP program. I am confident that I will collect the skills that I need for my future at Marymount University.
