Computer Labs

IT Services computer labs offer Windows and Macintosh systems, laser printers, scanners, and projectors, and a wide variety of up-to-date software. High-speed connections to Internet resources can be made from the labs’ computers. The labs are open to all MU students, faculty and staff. Please bring your MU ID with you when you visit an IT Services lab.

At least one STA is working at all times in the office next to the computer labs at 4040 Building and Rowley Hall on Main Campus. They monitor the labs, answer technical questions and will walk through the labs offering assistance. Don’t hesitate to approach them with problems or questions! Computer Lab Managers are also assigned to supervise the computer labs and are available to help students and faculty. Please do not ask the STAs to help you complete class assignments.

Reserving a Computer Lab

 

To reserve a computer lab please Click here or use the Astra Scheduling program located in the MU portal at my.marymount.edu or contact the Registrar’s office.

Computer Lab Software Request Form

 

Use this form to request new software installation or changes to existing software installed in the 4040 Building, Rowley, Reston and PT Computer Labs.

Lab Policies

  • All students, faculty, and staff must have a valid Marymount University identification card to use the Computer Labs.
  • Users should show respect for other users.
  • Loud or offensive language will not be tolerated in the labs.
  • Users are expected to take proper care of the equipment.
  • Food, drinks and smoking are not permitted in the labs. This policy is necessary to keep the labs clean and the computers functioning properly.
